The challenge

Support several certification schemes and user journeys in a shared platform, with tenant-specific application and card workflows.

What I do

Develop backend services, coordinate dependencies, review code, and lead delivery with UK stakeholders. Build hosted payments with pre-authorisation, voiding, notifications, and HMAC signature verification.

Beyond implementation

Own AWS ECS deployment and rollback coordination, diagnose application and integration failures, and provide second-level production support.

Tenant-aware data migration

Built a migration tool to consolidate multi-million-record, single-tenant databases into a multi-tenant architecture for a European telecommunications programme.

The context

Existing single-tenant databases needed to be consolidated into a shared architecture while carrying their data into the new tenant model.

My contribution

Built the PostgreSQL migration tool for the consolidation, working across a dataset containing millions of records.

Related modernization

Also migrated UK certification platform card-finder reference data and application read paths from DynamoDB to relational storage, including tooling and release coordination.

Document data extraction

Built an Amazon Textract OCR module to automate data extraction from enterprise documents and integrate the results into backend workflows.

I’m a Principal Software Engineer and Technical Lead at TEO International, working across enterprise platforms. My work spans construction certification, telecommunications, healthcare, and travel, with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS at the center of my stack.

I have led a team of 15+ engineering and QA professionals while remaining hands-on with development. I still write services, work through database problems, review pull requests, and stay involved when a release reaches production.

Based in Islamabad, I work with UK and European stakeholders and bring the same ownership to technical decisions, team development, and delivery.
